 Name: Raymond Barrett
 Race: Earthnoid
 Height: 6"4
 Zodiac: Taurus
Occupation/Rank: ✯ OBJECT Colonel of the  Lanzer and the Ocean Blue project's fleet        Relationship Status: Married to Corrine Barrett with three children (Charlie, 16),(Anne, 8)(Tommy, 5)

Raymond Barrett  is the disillusioned colonel within the United States Army and now the captain of  the new OBJECT space ship, The Lanzer. He has had a bit of backstory as far as piloting space crafts while being a part of the army and their involvement in space travel. He was a part of this project to terraform Umbero 9, which has of course landed humanity in yet another war with the civilians of the strange planet. Early on in the terraforming mission, the people of Umbero 9 were a cannibalistic tribe that displayed the inherent savagery of some sort of pre-industrialized Earth; cave people, war mongers, and prehistoric beasts roamed Umbero 9 before people like Ray colonized the planet and introduced them to, well, futuristic technology. Soon turning against the humans once they became ultimately enslaved and used for the terraforming project, a savage war broke out between the two groups and was somewhat 'stopped' by both Raymond and his friend Tom Turlington, who at the time was simply an American astronaut. However, their partner Valguard's deeds were ultimately rewarded albeit that Raymond was the one who initially helped reason with the Umberites. This soon leaved our main protagonist Raymond feeling appropriately disillusioned with the war effort years later and with himself as Valguard was ultimately chosen over him, causing internal tension within.
He returns home to his small industrial town on Rhelopotamia called Bone, starts a family, and forgets about ever returning to space. Raymond may have agreed to help in the war effort, yet after a stint of being in the face of danger with less than equipt crewmen who die in droves in the presence of the suddenly hyper advanced Umbero 9 technology/weaponry, he becomes extremely depressed until the advent of a new military technology; the OCEAN BLUE armor. The OCEAN BLUE armor synchronizes with the wearer and allows for sophistocated combat, both in the vaccum of space and on the land. Its nearly indestructible by the Umbero 9 weapons and packs a punch on the battle feild. Valguard appoints Raymond, who has 'met his favor' as being a part of the OCEAN BLUE project and gives him a team of ace pilots and soldiers alike. Overall a decent man, Raymond has a lot of internal fears that he covers up with the image of a collected, head strong colonel. He treats all of his subordinates and underlings like family with a few exceptions. He spends years away from Earth at a time and is always a bit disillusioned with the rapid changes with both his family and the progress of humanity.

Some tropes of Raymond (SPOILERS):
  • Colonel Badass:
  • Contrasting Uniforms: You know he's the captain with that blue camo!
  • Glasses of Cool: Ray's visor makes him completely badass
  • Gray Rain of Depression: Whenever Ray visits Earth or anyone else for that matter.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Tom Turlington
  • Leeroy Jenkins: Never admits that he may have been the one all along fucking up his missions out of pride.
  • Machine Empathy: Ray has been manning Ocean Blue armor and OBJECT machinery for a long while and completely knows the hardware, which has lead him to be an Ace Pilot and Badass Driver.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Ray's trust in MANY comes to bite him in the ass.
  • No Hero to His Valet: Ray is a war hero and nobody on the outside looks at his flaws and evil associations except for his own wife.
  • Overprotective Dad: Ray LOVES his kids and since he is always a part from them constantly, visits tend to be controlled and collected to the point of Obsessive Controlling.
  • Papa Wolf: Fucking with his loyal members of the Ocean Blue project means you’re done for.
  • Parental Substitute: Becomes this to many.
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: “This! Is! Not! A! Game!”
  • Pyrrhic Victory: The OBJECT is disbanded and Ray's troops go their separate ways with Umbero out of everyone's hair, yet Ray is so depleted at the end that his physical body on Earth becomes so weary that its Locked Into Strangeness. With his physical and mental health gone, the war was obviously not worth it for lots of others as well.
  • Red Shirt Army:  Every single one of Ray's troops after the advent of the OBJECT
  • Stranger in a Familiar Land: Every time Ray goes back to Earth
  • Sudden Principled Stand: In a super gruff way Ray shows everyone that he’s not down for moping even when he mopes.
  • The Captain: He is the head captain of the Ocean Blue program and its mission, which weighs on his shoulders.
  • The Neidermeyer: he is Sick of This Shit and the plight of the OBJECT. The troops he commanded before never made the cut and he didn't expect the Ocean Blue troops to make the cut either.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Tom Turlington
  • What You Are in the Dark: Despite his Winning Man efforts, Ray is still part of OBJECT and their evil plans of colonization.
  • Your Approval Fills Me with Shame: Ray doesn’t want to be a bad guy, so when complimented for his shitty ways he gets extremely depressed.
  • Good Ol' Boy: Ray follows the rules and doesn’t take too kindly to those who don’t.

Age: 29
Race: Earthnoid
Height: 6"0
Zodiac: Libra
Occupation/Rank: ✯ OBJECT Major and soldier recruiter
Relationship Status: Married to Karen Turlington with one child (Rio, 3)

Tom is a famous astronaut known for his experimental missions to Saturn, which is slowly being underway for terra forming. He was one of the original members of the first OBJECT mission to Umbero 9 and helped enact a peace treaty among the residents there. During the underhanded and secret dealings of the OBJECT and Valguard Sune, Tom 'defected' and began to advocate peace during the nuclear wars with pacifist groups. He has been a longtime friend of Raymond Barrett as Raymond served as his mentor prior to his training as an astronaut. A level headed and intellectual man, Tom was drafted in under Raymond to act as both a Major to his forces and as a recruitment agent. During that time Tom recruited most of Raymond's soldiers and ace personnel. Albeit that Tom has his loyalties to Raymond, he is weary of the OBJECT and is a conspiracy theorists. During his time as an astronaut, he witnessed strange phenomena that allowed him to believe that humans could live and exist in the vacuum of space without any life support. Although these theories have been discredited, Tom vows for the day that he can prove them right. He acts as a moral support to the crew, soldiers, pilots, and personnel under Raymond with his infectious charm and good will. He was also commanded speficically by OBJECT to mentor two civilian 'genuises', Bernita Laughgan and Richard Denbraugh, to become future soldiers for the OBJECT. Thomas vows to return back to his family and live peacefully on Relopotamia.

Some tropes of Thomas (SPOILERS):

  • All Myths Are True: In this case, Tom believes ardently yet In Secret about Ryo Kirasagi living on the Moon without oxygen and the myths of the Omni Ghosts; spirits of astronauts that transcend into Transhumans.
  • Ancient Conspiracy: Tom is so adamant about Ryo Kirasagi being able to live in space without human life support and does the appropriate research only to find that the OBJECT has been doing secret research on his case years after the incident.
  • Badass Bookworm: Tom is the pure, concentrated smarts of the ship and a former child prodigy, yet he can kick your ass when it calls for it, too.
  • Gentleman and a Scholar: playing off of Badass Bookworm
  • Happily Married: Tom and his wife Karen have an adorable daughter named Rio.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Ray Barrett
  • Ignored Expert: Tom has amazing expertise on space travel yet it only used as a communicator to reason with kidnappers and enemy forces.
  • Lonely at the Top: Tom has it all; good money, a great family, and a lot of respect, yet he yearns for something more.
  • My Country, Right or Wrong: Begrudgingly so, Tom continues to fight for Relopotamia as it is humanity’s last shred of hope yet knows that things are going to go back to hell again sooner than he thought. He also takes OBJECT’s orders even though he knows their agenda.
  • Nice to the Waiter: Nice to almost everyone and sometimes begrudgingly so.
  • Passed Over Inheritance: Tom is adpoted and was given his adoptive father's estate much to his siblings chagrin, which he sold and used to be an astronaut.
  • The Ace: If he wasn't Ray's best friend, they'd be enemies.
  • Tranquil Fury:  Also a Badass Crowning Moment during his confrontation with insurgent troops on Umbero
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Raymond Barrett
  • Who Wants to Live Forever?: Tom, despite his fame and glory, wants to be just like Ryo Kirasagi and drift off into space.
  • You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry: Tom letting go of his sweetness when he sees a mother and child being terrorized by OBJECT forces which makes him shoot them all dead.

Name: Janus Gerhard Warhola
Age: 36
Race: Half Vernian/Half Earthnoid
Height: 6"3
Zodiac: Leo
Occupation/Rank:✯Head of Biotechnology and Technological Advancement
Relationship Status: Single (for the most part)

Janus Warhola comes from a long background of scientists and political leaders from Earth, his father being a Vernian astrophysicist and and his mother serving as a major within the Swedish air force. Prior to the nuclear war, Janus graduated top of his class from the New Institute of Technology in Germany and served as a director at the newly renovated MIT before serving directly in the OBJECT as they were secretly developing their Ocean Blue project; Janus was one of the directors and supervisors overseeing the development of the armor that was soon to be used against Umbero post the nuclear war. He has a very stoic, unfettered personality and has never known very much hardship except for the xenophobia he faced from some of Earth's remaining humans. However, he secured himself an admirable position within both Valguard's army and became head of his war department's Biotechnology and 'Technological Adavcement' wings. He is well known for his research on post-mortem stem cell regrowth and has been working on a new, top secret project that could possibly advance humanity beyond known comprehension. At the moment he also serves under Raymond Barrett as a medical personell assisting with surgeries and rescessitation of his fleets. Although extremely morally ambiguous, Janus is carrying on a rather strange relationship with one of his collegues' wives, Serena Axelrod.

Some tropes of Janus' (SPOILERS):

  • Big Screwed-Up Family: One can’t help but wonder if Janus was a psycho because of his upbringing in affluence before the nuclear holocaust. His family being part Vernian and Earth-human caused a great deal of prejudice outside of his family from pre-nuclear holocaust xenophobes, which seeped into his family soon after.
  • Bystander Syndrome:  Janus has no problem with watching the O.B.J.E.C.T soldiers be killed in battle against the Umbero and doesn’t bother to help them unless his own interests are in trouble.
  • Fridge Horror: Realizing that Janus is taking extreme importance on the details of the Ocean Blue project’s team so that he can use their bodies if they are to die for his Bio Ghost project. This is only realized by Raymond Barrett initially when Janus requested the dead bodies of soldiers in the O.B.J.E.C.T infrantry to be used for scientific research.
  • Humans Are Bastards: Janus is egomanical, cruel, sadistic, and hell bent on advancing his research, no matter how he does it. He is also emotionally cruel to his mistress Serena Axelrod.

  • Just Following Orders: Everything he’s got going on at any time in the series is justified by O.B.J.E.C.T’s rules and he never backs down from that, ever. Janus is 'loyal' to Valguard Sune only because Valguard is funding his research. In exchange, Janus helps make innovations to the technology implemented by the O.B.J.E.C.T .
  • Kill The Poor: To Janus, they are a waste of effort, time, and resources and are the reason why humanity is suffering; to protect those who cannot protect themselves only leads to depletion. Janus believes, through his half Vernian, half human ancestry, that some are simply too dumb to live.
  • Lord Error-Prone: Janus thinks he’s immensely intelligent when others just discredit him as an arrogant Jerk Ass, albeit in secret as many fear confronting him. He makes a few mistakes naturally through his research yet not in his social disposition.
  • Morally Ambiguous Doctorate: Doing the Squick Bio Ghost experiments on people unaware of what was going to happen makes him more than sketchy, especially using dead bodies of previously unwilling soldiers.
  • Obviously Evil Mad Scientist: Nobody pays him any attention though because he's a Background Character initially through his associations as Valguard Sune's private scientific analyst at first. Soon Janus goes into the forefront as both surgeon general and head biochemistry analyst for the Ocean Blue team, traveling and fighting alongside with them as he also has military prowess .
  • The Closet Sociopath: Nobody suspects Janus is capable of evil intentions due to both his Background Character status and because he is initially withdrawn and silent.
  • The Social Darwinist: Coming from an affluent past and from a family that survived in its entirety from the nuclear fallout, Janus believes that some just can survive better than others. After all, billions of people died and his family survived completely yet only due to their Affluence and because Janus had solidified his rank in society through Valguard Sune.
  • The Other Man: He's the object of Serena Axelrod's desires and lust even though she's married.
